AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET.

Ma Alfred Bctck-anp's Wkwkxy/ Report.— At the Havm'arket. on Friday list, fodder was in full supply, and without alter*tion in value; maize, 6s the bushel. Horse stock in less than usual numbers, with a fair enquiry for those brought forward ; n>edium draught, adapted for general farm work, being most in request. Hides and skins in fully usu*l supply, with a steady enquiry at last week's quotations—_t Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows near calving were short of requirements; store cattle in less than usual numbers, and dull of sale, except quiet cows forward in calf ; those seld at high rates. Fat cattle in less than usual supply ; 191 penned ; for good quality an advance of 2s '6d the lOOlbs was obtained ; but there was no improvement in price for inferior quality. Store wethers dull of sale : long woollad ewes in fair enquiry ; fat sheep in less than usual number s, but without advance in price Pigs plentiful, with a steady demand at an advance over last week's market. Prices given were : Dairy cows, at c*lving, £11 to £16 ; forward in calf, £6 to £8 ; two to three-yew-old steers. In good conditiou, £4 to £5 17s 6d : best fat cattle. 30s 10 35s ; inferior from 26a the lOOlbs; long-woolled ewes, 22s ; halfbred wethsr», 9a to Us; fat sheep, 3|d to 4d ; fat pigs, 3d to 3. a the lb.
