CHRISTCHURCH.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day. The Intercolonial Cricket Tour
At the committee meeting of the Intercolonial Match to-day, it was resolved:—l. That Mr M ear's estimate of. £750 be generally approved, as the total contributions of al! provinces. 2. That it is desirable that Mr Mears be asked to act as secretary, and forthwith obtain the decision of all the provinces, and send up a final answer to Mr Goldsmith by next Australian steamer. 3. As it seems doubtful whether Wellington and Nelson contributions together will reach the sum of £225, Canterbury will raise Mr Mear's estimate of £175 for Canterbury to £200, if Otago will do the same, and Auckland be requested to do likewise. 4. That a copy of these resolutions be seDt, and an explanatory letter to Mr Goldsmith immediately.
