REVIVAL SERVICES TO-NIGHT.

It is earnestly desired that there will be a large attendance at the special service which is to be held in the Young Men's Christian Association Rooms, corner of Wellealey and Albert-streets, to-night. Our readers may not all be aware that the daily service from 12 to 12.45 is continued in the school-room, behind the Independent Chapel, Highstreet, which was chosen for convenience to the business centre of the city. The service to-day was conducted by the Rev. D. Bruce, of St. Andrews. The attendance was not so large as it should have been, but the proceedings were characterised by great earnestness. Several gentlemen who have been actively engaged in promoting the effort to create a spiritual revival in the city engaged in prayer, and hymns from a specially prepared collection, printed in Auckland in a convenient pamphlet form, were sung. The weekly service takes place to-night, as already stated, in the Young Men's Christian Association rooms. These services are entirely unsectarian, and should be more generally attended by persons of every denomination. They are also designed with a view to attract those who do noc ordinarily attend any place of worship.
