The brig Victor arrived from Adelaide with a cargo of -wheat this morning, »f ter a long run Captain Whiting reports leaving on the 24th nit. Passed Cape Howe on the 2nd June. Had easterly wind with gales at intervals all the war across Sighted the Tliree Kings on Wednesday, the 16th inst. ; thence strong S.S.W. winds into port. Passed the barque Especulador off Tutukaka on Saturday, and the Nightingale off the Hen and Chickens on Saturday niftht
Tiie A.S.P. Co,'a barque Albion arrived eariy this mornirg, after a fast run from Newcastle, which port sbe left on the 10th inst. Captain Fennal reports fresh SW. wind at starting. This veered to N. W. on Sunday, the 13th inst. Westerly and N-W. breezes attended the latter part of the passage, which was characterised by fine weather The Three Kings were sighted on Thursday, the 17th Tuick and squally weather down the Coast On Saturday experienced a g&le from the tf. The barque Albion passed a brigantine standing to the westwiird off the JP>ortb. Capo on Friday. . 1 he Roderick Dhu will sail to-morrow for Dunedin via Kalpara The s s Ladybird left the Manukau for the South yesterday moraine; with the following passengers :— Saloon : Messrs Moore. Miss heywood, Mr and Mrs George Barrel!, Messrs Hoare, McMaster, Trimble, Quick, and three io the steerage. The ship Dtwedin sailed for Otago this morning early with a portion of her original cargo from Loapon, and a few tons shipped here.
