(From our own Correspondent.) This day. ■ Crushings. lne .Nonpareil crushing of 13 tons will be finished tc-nigh*-, and an average of about 11$ ozs. per ton is expected. The Moanatairi gold melted weighed 208 ozs. 1 dwt. for the fortnight. The Golden Calf 16 tons, including piched stuff, yielded 530z3. 16 dwts. melted. Rich Stuff in the Cure. The Cure is breakiDg into good rich stuff to-day, and will have a gopd haul of specimens to-nigh fr. The Payment of Labourers. lne Ohinemuri road men's orders are satisfactarily arranged. The orders were issued by a foreman on James Mackay, and honored by storekeepers should ha,ve been receipted on the pay-sheets as payments, hence the misunderstanding. The money is satisfactorily accounted for, although many of those holding such notes are not yet paid.
