Cattle:. There was a good muster at Newmarket on Wednesday ; the bidding was steady, but prices again ruled in favour ef the purchaser. Dairy cows weie but poorly repreaented, and sold at from £10 7s 6d to £1310s ; stores were a shade lower, the biddine being slow, which was also the case with fat beasts, snd tho prices declined from 2s 6d to 6s per 1001b. There wst§ but a small muster of fheep, but prices had an upward tendency. Pies were in moderate supply, and there was no noteworthy alteration in value Mr A. Btjckxand's Report.—At Eemuera, on =3Fhursday, dairy cattle 'were in limited numbers, and in demand at extreme prices. Store cattle in usual numbers, with a steady inquiry at late valaes. Fat cattle in less numbers than of late, but dull of sale, and at lower values. Store sheep in moderate numbers, with a fair demand. Fat sheep in average supply and at lower prices. Pigs, of all kinds, unusuallr plentiful, choice animals fairly competed for, but all others extremely dull of sale, and at almost nominal prices. Prices given were good. Dairy cows, £14 to £15 each ; small-sized, in low- condition, £7 to £9 Tat cittle, of prime quality. 21s 6d to 323 6d ; inferior and middling, from 203 to 253 the ICOlb. Long-wooled ew63, in good condition, 21s. Shorn lambs, 7s to 9s eac/i. Fat sheep, 3jd to 4d the lb. Hogs and pi#s of choice quality, 4d ; inferior from 2d the lb, and many withdrawn.
MrR. Arthur sold to-day at his Queenstreet mart: fowls, Is 5d to 2a 7d ; geese, 3s 6d ; turkeys, 3s 9d to 4g ; Spanish fowls, 5s 6d ; pigeons, 7d|to Is 3d. Potatoes, 2s 6d to 4s 96.; pumpkins, 7s 6d per cwt; onions, Messrs B. Tonks and Co. sold to-day twelve keg 3of Nelson fresh butter in good condition, from la Bfd to Is 9d per lb.
