(From our own Correspondent.) This day. The Licensing Court is now sitting, Mr Danny taking Major Keddell's place. The Rev. Mr Hovell lectures this evening in aid of the Hospital funds.
Mining news is unimportant gj.The Tokatea manager reports a little gold in the stope, going in the Siege level; also gold in the stone in the Peep o' Day leader. They uncovered the new lode in the Excelsior level, giving indications of gold bearing. A few pounds of picked stone are to hand from the tribute leader.
'~. A landslip occurred on the Peep-o'-Day ground, carrying away a portion of the shoot.
