FOOT RACE.
A foot-race came off at Eilerslie Gardens this afternoon, between Mr. Ellis and Mr. E. O'Hare. The stakes were £25 aside, and *the distance 150 yards. Both men have been in traiivna for some time, and the affair has provoked considerable speculation in sportiug circles, Kllis being slightly the lavorite.
