Justice in Trouble
The Supreme Court yesterday sat in the Mechanics' Institute, a miberable wooden shanty. It was freezing hard all day, and there were no fires. Judge Johnston suffered much, and abked the Sheriff to find a better building where to adjourn the Court. He wa3 confident that if he sat in the present room for the next few days he would cease to be able to discharge his public duties to the country. The extraordinary case of Margaret Baxter Dodds, the governess, for arson (two counts) is now proceeding.
