The Land Disputes. An injunction has been granted against Mr Sutton occupying, selling, mortgaging, or leasing the Ngatahira disputed block of land ia the Oinaranui case.
Bonus for Railway Construction. Mr McKirdy, contractor on the Napier railway, asserts he has been offered a bonus of £50 a week for the completion of his contract before the stipulated time. It 18 said that Mr Seccombe -will finish tbe n «w Post-office at once, under Mr Smith's Cwpervision, Doyle and Adams going out of the contract.
Native Claims. Tairoa will proceed for his Otago compensation of £2,000,000 by petition of rights. flAnew claim by natives has cropped up Sere. They claim four acres of JNapier city made a reserve by Mr Fitzgeral in 1861 for iottelry purposes. Mr Ormond's Speech. Mr Ormond's speech is considered cautious tod bold.
Gr. Sainabury was admitted to the bar this day. In connection with Henry Russell's (Mangatiriri) case, at the banco sittipg this d»y, application was made for a partition in favour of Kaiawhia. Decision was reserved "i till the judge gets to Wellington.
