The following additional items of English news appear in the Daily Times : — In the Upper House of Convocation, on the 16 th of April, the announcement was made by the Archbishop of Canterbury that their Lordships had decided to assent to another plan of Anglican conference in the year.lß77, and thai steps would be taken to obtain the attendance of the colonial bishops. Mr. James Barclay, M.P , has given notice that he would move in the House of Commons, on the 20th of April, that it be an instruction to the Select Committee on Loans to Foreign States to enquire into the circumstances attending the issue in Great Britain of the New Zealand loans.
