WELLINGTON.
(Per Press Telegram Agency.) This day,
Mr. Vogel's Resignation.
It is understood that Mr Vogel has not resigned, though reported in some quarters j but his colleagues are in a position to tender his resignation if necessary.
Mr Gisborne an Intending Candidate. It is understood that Mr Gisborne retires from the Civil Service in August next, when he will be entitled to a pension under " The Civil Service Act, I860." Re will be a candidate for a seat in the House.
The Governor. The Governor leaves for Nelson im mediately after the arrival of the Luna.
