(From our own Correspondent.) This day. New Finds in the Whau, and Crown Princess Mines.
The Old Whau got 2cwt rich picked stuff and specimens last night and to-day. The Crown Princess struck No 1 reef in the bottom level to-day.
The Long Drive nine days crushing yielded 2120z5. The Beehive Tribute crushed lewt for 19ozs Bcwts. A parcel of 9 tons has been brought down from the Captain Cook claim, Puriri, for treatment. If averages an ounce to the ton, it will be considered satisfactory, and the mine will be worked vigorously. The Cure Crushing. The Cure have 1,300 ozs. amalgam and expect 200 more. The probable yield will be 500 ozs gold. The Month's Returns. The total gold yield for the month is 70640z5. lldws. 9grs., from 6,302 tons, an increase over last month of 1620z5. 12dwts. 7 grs.
