DUNEDIN.
This day. The Standard Pire and Marine Insurance Company invite the services of a manager. At a meeting of the directors last night it was stated that a considerable number of shares had been applied for in the North Island, and 14,000 in Otago. At a meeting of the City Council last night it was resolved to call a public meeting for drainage. The Customs have resolved to engage the services of well-educated youths as° cadets. A few families ex Jessie Redman and Zealandia are still unengaged. Large quantities of wool are coming into Dunedin.
