At the sale of valuable freehold allotments to-day by Messrs Samuel Cochrane and Son, Fort-street, those of the 17 allotments which were sold, realised the following prices :—Lot 1, 37 feet frontage to Unionstreet, 28s per foot; lot 2, 36 feet, and a splendid well of water, 27s per foot; lot 3, adjoining the residence of J. Way mouth, jun., 26s ; lot 4, with a four-roomed cottage, 20s ; lots 9, 10, 11, and 12, 6s ; lots 15, 16, and 17, 5s per foot. The farm of the 234 acres, near Cambridge (Waikato), fetched 26s per acre; and the block of land at Watamata, known by the name of Hinuera, No. 2, was sold for the sum of £304 11s 4d.
