DEPARTURES.
Hydaspes, ship, Babot, for Sydney
The schooners William and Julia and Rose were loading coals yesterday at Russell for Auckland, and the Magellan Cloud was loading timber. The schooners Golden Isle and Queen sailed from Eussell yesterday with ISO tons coal. The ship Hydaspes dropped down the harbour this morning. A new fore-and-aft schooner, the Fanny .Kelly, arrived in harbour last evening from Opotiki. She was built-by Mr White (of Mercury Bay) at Opotiki, and will be employed in the trade between Opotiki and this port She was built to the order of Mr W. Kelly. The vessel is about 61 feet keel and IS feet beam, .and apparently well adapted for the trade in which she is to be engaged.
The Rowena reports the American whaling hip Addison, Capt. Sinclair, at Mongonui, with 1300 barrels sperm oil,: and the following vessels at Wangaroa loading timber : Barque Lalla llookh ; schooners Ivanhoe and Ruby, and the cutter Dido.
The s.s. Rowena arrived from Russell and Northern ports this morning with the following passengers and cargo:—Bishop of Waipu, Mrs and Miss Williams, Mrs C. Davies, Mr J. Williams, Mr Revburn, Capt. Barker, Mr J. Atkin, C.E., Mr Sloan, T. Williams, J. Williams, Mrs Parsons and family, Mr Jackson, Mr Snowdon, Miss Snowdon, Miss Downs, one f emalelprisoner and three steerage. 10 bales wool, Loan Company ; 10 do Buckland ; 5 hides, Gittos ; 2 bundles sheepskins, 10 hides, Buckland ; 26bgsgum, Thompson ; 28 do, Stone Bros. ; 76 do, Walker ; 8 do, H. B. Moreton ; 176 sheep, Buckland.
