A criminal action for libel against the four proprietors, editor, and publisher of the Napier 'Telegraph,hy Mr Scaly, is now beino heard before the Bench of Magistrates The defendants are trying to get the case re nutted to the Supreme Court in order to get sifting enquiry into the Lands Department as conducted here.

The four proprietors, editor, and publisher of the Daily Telegraph have been committed for trial at the Supreme Court. Bail Avas accepted.
