It h in fact half a Cellar; the roof, a hollow ctefc*n, full of water designed to promote coolness below; Ui£ extent Is Buflicicnt for stowing more than a quarter of a million gallons. Tho Wine has to bo stowed in racks from floor tp.roof, making a prodigious weight to bo sustained. The casks contain each from 1000 gallons down te the ordinary CO-gallon sizo.
