Reasons Why DOWNER'S KEROSENE OIL Should^ bo used by Consumers in preference to «ny m.ne Petroleum Oil. lsL'lt is safe, having a fire test of never less than j 125° Fahrenheit. i 2nd. It is finished by distillation, without treatment i with acids .ir.J alkalies ;vs the last process. It is i double distilled for the purpose of removing the acids j and alkalies used in the manufacture of all Potroleum Oils, but which cannot be removed except by their process, 3rd. The Downer Oil being chemically pure, burns ■with moro brilliancy of flame, consuming less oil for a given amount of light. It .fives less trouble, because I the Lamps require loss frequent filling, and the wick less frequent trimming. 4th. Although the Downer Oil costs more per gallon than other oils, it is, in the end, cheaper for the consumer, because it gives a greater amount of light with, consumption of oil.
