Mr A. Auckland reports the market fully mipplied with store cattle—prices firm. Fat cattle in excess of requirements—prices lower, 4s the 100 lbs. Fat sheep abundant, and at less values. Prices ruling—fat cattle, 22s to 2Gs the 100 lbs ; sheep, 3id lb ; best lamb, lGs to 22s each.
At Mr K. Arthur's poultry sale in the Market to-day fowls were sold at Is 3d to 2s Gd ; fine dorking ditto, 2s 9d ; Brahmas, 3s ; turkeys, 4s to 4s 9d j geese, 5s Gd ; ducks, Is Gd to 2s ; and guinea fowls, 2s 9d. The market generally was well supplied with country produce ; the butcher's stalls looked healthy, splendid meat at Gd per lb. ; vegetables and fruits were plentiful at the stalls of Mr,Farey. We noticed a large quantity of butter galso at Mr Fen ton's central stall, whose weekly price list is regularly published in this journal. The bazaar adds considerably to the life of the market. Messrs Blair and Lambert will open their new establishment at the market entrance tomorrow with a great \ariety of groceries, spices, and provisions.
