TAUIIANGA.
This day. Native intelligence from Mata says Ngaterangitihi and Tuharangi (Arawa) are in anas in consequence of Davis and Mitchell's negotiations at Lake Itotoemahana, in connection with disputed land claims of many years standing. On ono occasion many lives were lost. A fight is now very probable. Mr Davis is endeavouring to pacify them. He wa3 formerly feed by the Ngatirangitihi to defend their interests in the Native Lands Court against the Tuharangi, and consequently knows everything.
