This day. Tspihana is still here. He proceeds to Cambridge to meet Mr Mackay to-day. Tapihana says he alone had a bad name at Waikato hitherto because he alone has kept the King's laws. Now this year he will <*o to Cambridge, see Te Wheoro, and return to Kuiti ,to hold a meeting to give his views there ; ;' : afterwards meet Mr McLean in the Waikato, when he would speak freely as to what should be done to secure lasting peace between the races.
