The Fiji Banking and Commercial Company, Limited, acting for the Government of Fiji, invite Subscriptions for £15,000 Debentures, bearing 10 % interest, with a currency of five years, principal and interest being payable in Fiji or Now Zealand, at the option of the purchaser. The above Debentures are issued under the Public Loans Act, 1872, the proceeds being required for the retirement, as provided by the said Act, of an equivalent amount falling due in December next. The comparatively small amount of the Fiji public debts, the punctuality with which the interest on Fiji Government Debentures has hitherto been paid, and with which the Debentures heretofore issued hare been taken up when due, the suppression of the insurrection and the establishment of the authority of the Government, and the probable annexation or establishment of a Protectorate by Great Britain justify its agents in commending these sucurities to the investing public. Each Debenture will be issued for the sum cf £100. :Tenders marked "Tenders for Fiji Government Debentures," addressed to the undersigned, will be received at the Office of the Company up to 12 o'clock on Saturday, the 13th of December next. By order of the Board of Directors. A. WARDROP, Sec. pro. torn. Auckland, 14th November, 1873.
