Reasons Why t DOWNER'S KEROSENE OIL n •1 Should( be used by Consumers in preference to any uLne Petroleum Oil. Ist. "It is safe, having a fire test of never less than g 125° Fahrenheit. , 2nd. It is finished by distillation, without treatment i- with acids and alkalies as the last process. It is double distilled for the purpose of removing the acids •- and alkalies used in the manufacture of aU Petroleum Oils, but which cannot be removed except by their process, I, 3rd. The Downer Oil being chemically pure, burns with more brilliancy of flame, consuming less oil for a given amount of light. 11 gives less trouble, because the Lamps require less frequent filling, and the wick less frequent trimming.----j 4th. Although the Downer Oil costs more per gallon , than other oils, it is, in the end, cheaper for the consumer, because it gives a greater amount of light with consumption of oil, g Your grocer may tell you he has on sale an oil in a uality equal to Downer Oil. Don't believe this story. g i Downer Oil is quoted and known all over the world ,j as the highest standard brand. This reputation has | been achieved by its having been made by a better process and more costly than others, which process j has been adhered to from the beginning, without re gard to expense.
