■ri i a.- . -, This Day. The election yesterday passed off quietly till the boat arrived with forty miners' rielifa men from the Thames to swamp Coromandel votes.
The booth doors were then obstructed for about twenty minutes, good humoured pushing and scuffling going on, but no fighting or ill-usage, the crowd dispersins whenever the Returning Officer came to the door and ordered thein'away.
