Xesteeday evening a young man belonging to Onehunga, but lately working on the bridge at Mangere, lost his life by drownim* Frederick Robinson was returning to Mangere in an old and leaky dingy, When it gradually filled under him ; he was seen to jump out into the water, but before any one could put off to bis assistance ho disappeared. Constable Green and others have been dragging the harbour about the spot where the casualty occurred, but have not yet recovered the body. Deceased was about 22 years of age, and exceptionally quiet in his demeanor and temperate in his habits.
