Sailed August 10 Nawoith. bare.no, from Liverpool. Sailed Angust 19 Bella Mary, barque, from HobaitTown, early £™'_, '.?' from Sydney, early M.M.S. Basilisk, from Tanranga Ivanhoe, schooner, from Lyttelton

The Southern Gross brings the following passengers from Tanranga :—Messrs George, Ibbetson, Smith, Bates," Wilson, Wayland, Howrell, Walker, Barnes, Way, Brown, Lewis, Goldie, Morrison, Captain Sweeney, Miss Conway, and Mrs Wortliington and child.

The schooner Eannie Hare, left Dunedin for this port on Saturday. The Countess of Kintore is still lying in harbour awaiting a favourable change. The brig Waverly arrived in harbour this morning after a long passage from Adelaide. She brings a cargo of grain. Captain Shoi t, of the schooner Fiery Gross, furnishes us with the following report with reference to a collison on Saturday evening : —"We left Russell on Friday last, and had light south-westerly winds until Saturday, at 9 p.m., on which date Point Rodney bore S.W. by S. \S. Saw a green light vessel running down towards" us, which attempted to cross our bows, and ran into tbe Bonita. Before striking hailed her to keep away. Hove the vessel up in tlie wind, backed head yards, and got clear, when we found that our martingale was earned away, and that her mainsail had met a similar fate."

The Rowena, for the North, has been detained till two o'clock to-morrow. There was no communication with the Thames to-day in consequence of the stormy weather prevailing. Several vessels are detained in harbour wind-bound.
