THE REGATTA.

To the Editor of the Etenixg Stab. Sir, —I see by your paper of yesterday, that Mr. Waymouth has protested against the Sappho, on account of not having his man on board. Can you tell me (or some of your readers may), if he sends men on board all the boats, or if he would have been so particular had he come in first ? It seems to me to be Mr. Waymouth's policy directly he is beat to protest: Last year in the sculling race, although sculled twice, and each time beat, lie still protested. I think, sir, that as Mr. Waymouth is one of the committee, he ought not to compete at all, for no one on the committee should in my, opinion. I am, &c, Fair Plat.
