My interests are identical with your own. My best attention will, therefore, be given to the consideration of those questions which more directly concern you. Should you honour me with your confl - dence by electing me as your representative, I will go into the Assembly free from any party bias, pledged only to use my best exertions to secure the peace and prosperity of the colony in general, and of the Waikato in particular.
