THE REGATTA.
To the Editor of the Evening Stab. Sib, —Is it true, as I have heard, that the Auckland crew, which is proposed to go to Ohristchurch, is afraid to meet the Thames crew at the regatta on Monday P I am credibly informed that they have II funked." lam nearly ashamed to ask is it true ? I am, &c, Oaesman. [We do not believe it. The crew were born and bred in the city, and hare too much pluck, be the oncomers who they may. We understand the Thames team is a prime one ; Auckland may be beaten, but won't "funk."] —Ed, Js. #.] '
