Mr. c, Jones held to-day at his mart an extensive t-uue sale of sroceries, tobacco, kerosene, &c. Xho attendance -was good, and competition brisk. Old. per lb.: boxes tea, ex Gatherum, Ids. each; ilo. gunpowder, ex Chelsea, 2s. per lb.; kerosene, 2s. Bd. to 2s. Od. per gallon ; currants, lid. to 4|d. per lb.; Brandon's candles, lid. per lb.; De Boubaix's do., lOfd. per lb.; Young's composite, Is. per lb.: Slee's vinegar, 2s. 2d. per gallon ; table vinegar, 9s. per doz.; table salt, ss. Cd. per doz.; canary seed, 4Jd. per lb.; Wybrow's salad oil (is), 7s. per doz.; do. do. (pints), lls. to 11s. 6d. per doz.; Dunedin oatmeal, 10s. to 16s. Cd. per 100 lbs.; citrate of magnesia, 15s. to 205.; raisins, on account of whom it might concern, 2d. to 2Jd. per lb.
