Arthur reports that at his market day sale yesterday, there was a good attendance, and a large lot of poultry produce, furniture, &c, sold at fair prices :—Fowls brought from Is. 2d. to 2s. ss. each ; chicken, 6d. to lOd. ; ducks, Is. 4d. to Is. 9d. ; young 2d per lb. ; cheese, 3d. to 3Jd. ; Auckland bacon, 3|d. ducks, Bd. to Is. ; geese young, 3s. 3d. ; rabbits, 7d. to 2s. ; potatoes, ss. to ss. 6d. per cwt.; onions, Id. to to sjd. ; butter, sjd. to Cjd. ; jams, no brand, 4s 9d. per doz. ; furniture new and second hand at paying prices ; a gold watch at L 8 ; gold chain, L 5 12s.
