Militia and Voluntoer Office, January 18, 1872. THE attention of the Officer Commanding the District has been called to tho circumstance that Volunteers are in the habit of attending the Rille Range for practice on days not set apart for their own Corps. It is now requested that this proceeding be discontinued. Ample provision has been made by the Rifle Range Trustees, by a fair allotment of time, for tho practice of each Corps, and it is most unreasonable to suppose that those Corp3 which assemble on the range on their appointed days should be disturbed and incommoded by the presence of members of other Corps, which also have a similar period set apart exclusively for themselves. The days and hours of practice for euch corps will be found very distinctly specified in a memorandum from tho District Office, dated 28th ultimo. ' WM. GORDON, Major, Commanding Auckland District.
