About half-past seven o'clock thi morning a considerable quantity of sir>ke was seen to issue from the roof of t-ie house occupied by Mr Broad, blacksmith, Queen street. The alarm w<s at once given by a man named Thorn^. An immediate rush to the roof, am the timely application of a few buckes of water, soon pluced the building outof danger.
