Tj ( r " s.s. Hero, Captain Logan, arrived ill harbor at half-past three this ixfternoon from Sydney and Melbourne. She left Sydney and cleared the Heads at 6.30 p.m. on the Gtli instant, and rounded the North Cape at 7.15 p.m. on the 12th. On the passage across tho Hero has had to contend against very strong head winds, accompanied with cloudy and thick hazy weather, occasional heavy showers of rain and a heavy head sea itntil arrival off the Three Kings yesterday, 12th, at 2 panSince then a heavy easterly swell, with the wind moderate ; still easterly and fine warm weather have prevailed. Erom Melbourne : Saloon —Mr. and Mr. Harrison, 2 children and servant; Mr. aud Mrs - Clarkson, 2 children, and nurse ; Mrs. 17. Gardiner, Miss Thorne, Miss A. Sumner, Mr. Salter, Mr. and Master Brissenden, Master Sumner, Signor Donato, and eight in the steerage. Ero^e Sydney: Saloon —Mr. and Mrs. Mason, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Miss St. John, Messrs. Hausmau, Gritton, Donelly, Sampson, George Young, and IS in the steerage.
