The following is a copy of a telegram received from the Mine Manager: — • « Jan. 12, 9,30 a.m. " Specimen run looking well. " Under-cutting reef.
" Miners object to strip off clothes. " Several on strike. " I shall be firm.
" S. E. Biciiakds."
[From some unaccountable reason our usual Thames telegram had not come to hand when we went to press.]
