THE VOLUNTEER CHRONICLE.
The Volunteer Engineers assembled last evening for their usual weekly drill. There was a good attendance, and light infantry drill was gone through, after which a meeting of the company was held and a committee was selected to draw up rules in regard to the prizes to be shot for during the last week of this month. These rules are to be submitted to the members for adoption after next Wednesday's parade. The general half-yearly meeting of the No 6 Company of the Auckland Rifle Volunteers will be held in the orderly room, Drill-shed to-morrow evening at the close of the parade. Election of a new committee and officers will take place and other business of importance is to be transacted.
The half-yearly meeting of the City Company, No 6 Auckland Rifle Volunteers will take place to-morrow evening, at the Drill Shed.
