PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE

Last night one of the best comedies that has been played in Auckland for a very long while was produced at this theatre. Miss Surtees made her debut before an Auckland audience in the character of Lottie Grant, in thesparkling comedy of the " Two Hoses." She sustained her part in a most admirable manner, and is really a very charming and entertaining artiste. Her acting exceeds anything we have yet seen in Auckland. Mr Morton Tavares appeared as Mr Digby Grant, a gentleman. It was a splendid pourtrayal. Mr Joyce appeared well as an attorney named Farnival, Mrs Walter Hill, Mr and Mrs H. N. Jones, Mr South, and Mrs Keogh sustained their parts admirably.- The piece is excellently mounted and. the manner in which it is placed upon the stage, reflects great credit on the management.
