TE AWAMUTU,
A f DEEADPiri. accident haTppened last Thursday to a highly respectable settler named Western, by which he met with his death; he had lately arrived from Yorkshire, England. It appears that he was engaged carting rails from the bush to; his house, between Te Awamutu and Ohaupo, when the horse ran away and the deceased was thrown down, the wheels of the dray passing over him. The poor fellow died a few hours afterwards. He had only lately purchased an improved farm in conjunction with a Mr Waldron, from a settler named Fitzgerald.
