CALEDONIAN GAMES AT THE THAMES.
The sports were well patronised, notwithstanding the vast numbers that had left for Auckland. The following are the principal results:— Maiden race : 250 yards.—Drake. Running high leap.—D. Twohill. ■Three-legged race.—Henderson and Brassey. Two hundred yards handicap : E. W. O'Hare. Flat race : If mile. —Conway's Faugh-a-Ballagh. Standing high leap.—Twohill. Vaulting with pole.—Maning. Hack hurdle race.—Leonard's Blair Athol. Four hundred and thirty yards' hurdle race.—Maning, winner, at scratch, being at first hurdle as soon as the van.
