POLICE COURT.
THIS DAY. Before His Worship the Mayor, and L D Nathan, Esq. DBUNKENNESS.
Six drunkards were punished in the usual manner. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. Mary Halliday, for making use of obscene language in a public place, was fined £5 and costs, or thirty days' imprisonment, as she was an old offender. The Court was then adjourned until 2 o'clock, as counsel were not in a position to proceed with the case against James Milian, for larceny. A 2 o'clock the Court resumed, and as the Mayor was compelled to attend the Provincial Council, the further hearing of the case against James Milian for larceny, was postponed until Wednesday.
