Messrs Cochrane and Son sold to-day at their auction rooms, Fort street, the leases of the undermentioned fees and tolls for the year ending December 21st, 1872: —Lot 1, fees leviable at the public slaughterhouse. New-, market, £81, J Clayton ; lot 2. Panraure Bridge tolls, £20, W Kirby , lot 3, Newmarket tolli £226, P McG-arry ; lot 4, Otahuhu and Slippery Creek, tolls, £61, T Stringer ; lot 5, Great North Road toll, £25, W JVicGerry ; lot 6, M->unt Eden tolls, £15, McGarry j lot 7, Now North Road toll, £38, W Gnlbraith ; lot R. ■water supply to shipping, £60, M Morton. The competion fox* the several lots was beyond ordinary, and the excitement intense. Messrs Tonks and Co held a sale to»day at their mart of unredeemed pledges, which realised good prices. Mr G. W. Binney held to-day at his Rooms an extensive sale of confectionery. The conr> petition was brisk, aud on the whole, prices fair.
