(Before G. P. Pierce, Esq., J P., and His Worship the Mayor). Drunkenness. —Four persons were pun iehed in the usual manner for this offence, and Joliu Lonarrl, again, fc whom no Jess than thirty convictions had been recorded since 1867, was sent to sjaol for s.vcn days. Indkc NT Exposure. - George Poki, a Maori, charged with this off nee, pleaded guilty, but said that he was unaware he was fcommitting an ofl'ence.—Fined one shilbncj ftiid costs, and cautioned a. to future bell iiviour. Assault.—William Francis Crow, was charged by William Baker with striking him repeatedly on the face with his clenched fi st, and knocking him down. As he had already been punished for drunkenness, the complainant expressed his willingness to withdraw the charge —Case accordingly dismissed with costs.
