THE GOLDEN BELT.

Sib,—Having noticed in the columns of the different newspapers, lately, various surmises and incorrect statements in relative to the Golden Belt claim, at the Tiki, Coromandel, I beg thr. lavor of a little spice tor explanation. Also a reason for my explanation i. that. I have "been often ■personally addressed lately 611 the subject. 1 believe I have been accused of unfair dealing in the matter by one or two Some mouths since a project was started for amalgimuling the Golden Belt, the Niagara Battery, and 100 acres of private auriferous ground ou tho Matawai Creek.
