The attention of officers comma..ding companies of Volunteers is directed to paragiaphs 0 and 7 rule 3 | and regulations for General Government prizes, 1872, ! and they are request-d that they will be good enough I to arrange that their Company competition (with j Company ammunition/ shall take place so as to ensure ■ the receipt in the Distr ct office before the 31st December next of the names c f the selected Company representation ; but in proceeding to the selection by competition firing the direction contained in par f> page 7 of the above quoted rules will be observed and adhered to. 2. Such Voluntee-s of Cavalry Corps of the District as have complied with the regulation as to parades contained in par. 3 page 19 ri.los and regulations for General Government prizes, 1872. will be prepared to assemble at the Mount Eden Rifle Range in a day or days to be hereafter fixed before the lOtli January next, in order to fire the preliminary match prescribed at page 19 of the before quoted regulations. , 3.
