EYBNisfa Stab Office, Tuesday afternoon,
Mr. R. Arthur held to-day, at his mart, an extensive sale of fruits, &c. There was a fair attendance. Tbe following are tha prices obtained :— Oranges, 7s 6d per case ; navel do., 9» 6d per case; lemons, 6s 6d per case ; plums, 3id per lb.; apricots, 4*d per lb. Messrs. B. Tonks and Co. sold to-day, at their auction mart, a consignment of fruit, &c. There was a fair competition. The following are the quotations :—Oranges, 7s 6d to 8s per case; lemons, 53 6d per case; plums, Sid per lb. Messrs. E. and 11. Isaacs had a full attendance of the trade at their sale of hosiery, Clothing,;&c.j to-day,' and a large, parcel of goods we're quitted. The bidding was fairly epirited, and the prices realised were quite up to the expectations of the owners, but still without a margin of profit. On the whole, the sale was the average.
