Drunkenness. —One person who had been taken charge of by the Police while in a state of intoxication, was fined five shillings and costs, with the usual alternative of imprisonment.

Breach ofMfnicipalPolicb Act.—Robert Coyle was charged with causing an obstruction in Fort-street, byjnliowiug his horse and cart to remain therein, it appeared that defendant had taken his horse out of the shafts and proceeded to grease the wheels while the cart was in the centre of the street. Defendant failed to appeal1, and was fined forty shillings and costs, with the alternative of fourteen days' imprisonment.
