The aitendance of all the above companies was very large, the procession teaching Iroui the corner of Pitt-street to the graveyard. The Bands of No. 1 Company and t he Naval Volunteers played the "dead murch alternately up to the graveyard. After th c burial service had been concluded, the firing party fired a salute over the grave of their comrade, after which the men were back from the cemetery and dismissed. A meeting of persons, interested in the formation of a Tlifle Association, for Auckland, j will take place at the Harbour, Board room, 1 at 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.

'Ihe firot morning parade of the Volunteer Rifles was held this morning, at six o'clock, in the Albert Barrack iSquare, and the men, after performing a few preliminary evolutions, were put through a course of skirmishing drill. The attendance -was not by any means so large us was desirable, but some excuse must bo made on account of the parade being the first early one of the season. Wo hope to see an improvement in this respect.
