Friday afternoon,
Mr. L. W. Eaton held, to-day, at ins rooms, an extensive sale of fruit, cheese, &c. The following are the prices obtained :— Orange.*--, 8s to 8s 6d per case ; lemons, 5s to 5s 6d per case; Canterbury cheese, 6d per lb. Messrs. E.and.H. Isaacs held to-day, at their stores, Fort-street, an extensive sole, of tumblers, American goods, paperhangings, &c. There was a full attendance of the trade, and on the whole, average fair prices obtained for any goods that were in demand. There was good competition, and nearly all the goods advertised were sold.
