I.— The Mount Eden Rifle Range having bepn at length completed Rifle Practice may now be commenced thereon, beginning on MONDAY next. The days and hours hereunder specified are those upon which the Range, consisting of two sets targets, and extending to 600 yards, is available for the respective troops and companies of the Volunteer force, will be strictly adhered to, and officers commanding corps are referred for their guidance to oar. G7, page 38, Volunteer Regulations. The resident marker. Sergeant Gatland, will be found at all times upon the Range, and the senior officer or non-commissioned officer at any time present is responsible th -t no firing is commenced until the large red danger flag is exhibited on the flagstaff over the targets. The orders for the senior officer at the firing point will be found at page 215, Rifle Exercises. The Range at Point Chevalier, with one set of targets to 30 yards, still continues available for practice, and the days upon which it is at the service of the various companies are likewise specified below. I.—The evenings of Tuesday appearing to be an unsuitable period for the Regimental Weekly Parade, such parade will for the future, commencing on Tuesday next, fall-in at 6 o'clock on TUESDAY MORNINGS, in the Albert Barracks. 2.—With reference to District Orders of this date, Officers Commanding Companies will be pleased to arrange amongst themselves as to the hours at which their Companies shall assemble for target practice on the days named in District Orders, so as to avoid confusion and irregularities. Notice is hereby given that Rifle Practice will be carried on at the Rifle Bange, Mount Eden, daily, commencing on MONDAY next, the 20th inst. All persons are consequently warned not to trespass thereon, nor should cattle of any description be allowed to ' graze or stray in its proximity. When a large red flag is exhibited on the flagstaff, above the targets, special danger may be apprehended, and all individuals are cautioned, then not even to approach the Range, parlarly between the firing points and targets.
